Mark Durkan MP meets partners from the EupQua project in Derry
10 February 2010
The EupQua Partnership is made up of seven organisations from across Europe working together to improve the quality of Mobility projects through the Leonardo Da Vinci programme. The main objective of the project is to develop attractive and innovative programmes in the areas of education, language and culture for European citizens and to constantly improve their quality.
Eleven participants from each of the organisations came to Derry from 9th – 12th Dec 2009 to develop the project further and discuss the models in place in Northern Ireland. This programme was to experience the culture of Derry, carry out meetings and visit local organisations. As part of this they invited Mark Durkan MP MLA to discuss with the group ideas of projects, and debate issues within the European arena. Mark carried out a question and answer session discussing European programmes and the European legal framework.
Mark commented, “It was great to meet the members of EupQua; you can see the project group has great passion and commitment in the projects they are undertaking”. He also wished the partners success in the future.
